Europe’s Cyber Attack Snapshot_
As part of the Annual Report, we investigate the following evolution of the European threat landscape:
…of UK Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) organisations experienced a data breach in the past year, with 1/3 of UK Critical Infrastructure organisations targeted by ransomware paying the ransom.
…of British businesses suffered a cyber breach or attack in the last 12 months, with more than 7 million incidents being reported in 2024.
…of all global cyberattacks occurred in Europe in 2023, with 71% of these attacks targeting critical infrastructure organisations. The UK was the most attacked country in the region, making up 27% of cases.
